Recent NELMSC email re:registraion
Hi, you may have received the email message copied below. The purpose of the
email was to remind swimmers who have not yet renewed their USMS registration
that they must do so before Feb 21st to be eligible to swim in the NELMSC SCY
meet at Harvard in March. It also reminds swimmers that the after Feb 21st
swimmers will have to pay a $20 LATE REGISTRATION FEE to enter the meet.
The email was drafted for former USMS-Unattached swimmers rather than former
USMS-GBM swimmers so, while the information is relevant former GBM swimmers who
received it, the parts about NEM workout groups are not relevant.
Happy swimming.
Please contact Guy davicass@aol.com or Coach Crystie
greatbaymastersswimteam@gmail.com if you have questions.

GBM Enews - POOL-A-THONS
* * * *GBM Enews * * * *
Thank you everyone who attended the GBM pot luck party, and particularly Jacqui
and Crystie for all of their organizational efforts. A most enjoyable team GBM
evening! There was also a very fine team GBM turnout for our Exeter mini-meet.
As Crystie noted on our GBM Facebook page, the highlights were the relays with
GBM filling the pool! Shout outs also to our hardy 1650 swimmers – Pat, Steve,
Brett and Ed. Big thank yous to meet director Crystie and all officials,
timers, volunteers and other helpers!
Portsmouth and Dover Pool-A-Thons
As many of you know, the Dover Pool-a-thon is in full swing and the Portsmouth
Pool SIPPathon is getting underway. Both pools have been facing financial
pressures and these events are important to keeping them open for seacoast
swimmers, including us!
The Portsmouth Pool SIPPathon starts this week. The forms for participation are
on our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/groups/31774839843/files/ or you
can email davicass@aol.com and I will send them.
This is an important year for the Portsmouth Pool. They plan to replace the
roof which will extend the life of the facility some 20 years and they need to
raise $400k for the project. If sufficient funds can be raised this year (not
the full $400k) they will be able to proceed this summer.
THIS WEEK is the LAST week for the Dover Pool-a-thon! Get those donations in! We
have been supported greatly by this facility and now it is time to return the
favor by helping them maintain funds to allow us to keep swimming there!
Your support of these events is appreciated!
Harvard SCY meet entries are OPEN!! Get those entries in by Feb 21, or earlier
as this meet fills up quickly!!
