Enter Harvard meet without late fee until 24th!

If you have not yet entered, good news! The late fee for the great Harvard Meet
(New England-LMSC Short Course Yards Championship) has been put off until
Friday, the 24th!!!

Please see the message below is from our friend Bill Ewan, the President of NEM
swim club:

If you haven't signed up for this meet, it is a great chance to do so. Take the
plunge and enjoy the whole affair.
Many years ago I was very interested in masters swimming, but had never entered
a meet and was awed and frightened by many of the great swimmers. I actually
watched the entire Harvard meet, went home and trained and finally entered that
meet the next year. And what did I find. There was no reason to wait!!!
I discovered a whole pool full of people that love swimming, really care about
themselves and their sport, but also care about everyone who joins in. The vets
are missed when they don't show up, and the new kids on the block are celebrated
when they give it good try.

Hope to see you at the Harvard meet!!

Portsmouth Morning Practices Ending

Unfortunately we are not able to continue the Portsmouth 'reserved lane' morning
practices on Tuesdays and Thursdays because the regular attendance levels are
too low.
However, for those who prefer to work out in the mornings, please note that the
Portsmouth pool has 5 or 6 lanes open for adult lap swimming each morning
between 5:30am and 8:45am, with a further hour of 4 lap lanes to 9:45am on
Wednesday and Friday.
Coach Crystie has posted a very useful archive of workouts on-line at
http://gbmpractice.blogspot.com/. There is also an archive of workouts available
on deck at PIP below the GBM notice board (near the hot tub – where else!) and
we can provide workout and set suggestions tailored to your goals if you would
find this helpful. Just let us know.
