Men and Women Volunteers Needed for Study on Lower-Extremity Muscular Strength, Power, and Activation Asymmetry
Subject Criteria:
·Men and Women between the ages of 30-50 yrs
·Must not be pregnant
·Must not have cardiovascular or neurological disease
·Must not have experienced a significant lower-extremity injury within the past 6 months
·Must have a BMI less than or equal to 30 kg m-2
o BMI = weight in kg / height in meters 2
Participant Time Commitment:
·Attend two visits to the Biomechanics and Motor Control Laboratory at UNH
·Each visit will last approximately one hour
Benefits to participants:
·You will receive an assessment of your lower-extremity muscular strength and power asymmetry which may be used to implement a training program to correct imbalances which can reduce the risk for injury and unexplained falls
